CS2 Rules

Tournament Details 

Date: 16.08.2024 

Time: 11:30 – 22:00 

Location:  BaseStack Dortmund, Kampstraße 1, 44137. 

Registration 

  1. Eligibility:

   – All participants must be at least 18 years old. 

   – Each team must consist of five players. 

  1. Registration Process:

   – Teams must register online at BaseStack Dortmund’s official website (https://basestack.gg/dortmund/events/cs2-1v1-tournament/). 

   – Registration closes on 12.08.2024. 

   – A registration fee of €25 per team must be paid upon registration. 

Tournament Structure 

  1. Format:

   – The tournament will follow a single-elimination format. 

   – Matches will be best-of-three (Bo3) series. 

  1. 2. Map Pool:

   – The maps available for selection are: 

     – Dust II 

     – Mirage 

     – Inferno 

     – Nuke 

     – Overpass 

     – Vertigo 

     – Ancient 

 

 

  1. Map Selection Process:

   – Before each match, teams will participate in a coin toss to determine who bans the first map. 

   – The map veto process: 

     – Team A bans a map. 

     – Team B bans a map. 

     – Team A picks the first map. 

     – Team B picks the second map. 

     – The last remaining map will be played if a third map is needed. 

   – Teams will also decide sides (Terrorists/Counter-Terrorists) by another coin toss or knife round before each map. 

Match Rules 

  1. 1. Game Settings: Competitive

   – Round time: 1 minute 55 seconds. 

   – Bomb timer: 40 seconds. 

   – Freeze time: 15 seconds. 

   – Overtime: MR3 (Max Rounds 3), $10,000 start money. 

  1. Match Conduct:

   – Players must use the equipment provided by the tournament organizers unless otherwise permitted. 

   – Any form of cheating, hacking, or exploiting game mechanics is strictly prohibited. 

   – All players must respect the tournament schedule. Teams must be ready to play at their designated times. 

   – In case of technical issues, a pause of up to 10 minutes per team per map is allowed. 

Code of Conduct 

  1. Sportsmanship:

   – All participants must exhibit good sportsmanship and maintain respectful behavior towards opponents, referees, and organizers. 

   – Any form of harassment or abusive language will result in immediate disqualification. 

 

  1. Decisions:

   – The decisions made by tournament referees and organizers are final. 

   – Any disputes must be raised immediately to the referees. 

 

Prizes 

Bootcamp Coupons: 

   – The winning team will receive bootcamp coupons for a training session at BaseStack Dortmund. 

   – Additional prizes may be announced during the tournament. 

Miscellaneous 

  1. Broadcasting and Media:

   – By participating, players agree to be filmed and recorded for promotional purposes. 

   – Matches will be live-streamed on official BaseStack Dortmund channels. 

  1. Health and Safety:

   – Participants are encouraged to take regular breaks to avoid fatigue. 

   – The venue will adhere to all local health regulations to ensure a safe environment.
