3. GAMEPLAY

3.1. GAMEPLAY

  1. Double Elimination system. The games will be conducted in the Double Elimination format, which is divided into the winners bracket and the losers bracket. Players start the game in the winners bracket. If a player loses a match in the winners bracket, they will go to the losing side of the tournament bracket (the losers bracket). If a Player loses a match in the losers bracket, he/she will be eliminated from the tournament. In the event of a win, the Player proceeds to the next match in the losers bracket.
  2. Matches – All matches will be played in an FT2 (First to 2) system (i.e. the game proceeds until a player wins two fights) except for the winners bracket finals, losers bracket finals and grand final, in which the players will play in an FT3 (First to 3) system (i.e. the game proceeds until a player wins three fights). In a system of up to two- and three-win fights (FT2, FT3), the player who is the first to reach the right number of winning fights is treated as the winner of the match and moves on to the next stage in the bracket.
  3. During the match there are several rules: in the first match both players choose the characters they will play, while the arena must be chosen randomly; after winning the match the winner cannot change the character until he loses another match; the loser after each match can change the character, but then the arena must be chosen randomly, or the player can change to any arena of their choice, but then they cannot change characters.
  4. Double K.O. If the result of a match is a draw, it is not counted, and players must play an additional match that determines the winner. In this case, players cannot change the character or arena.
  5. Grand Final. In the Double Elimination bracket, there are up to three matches to win. The player from the losers bracket must beat the player from the winners bracket twice to win the tournament. Character and arena selection is based on the same rules as the entire tournament.
  6. Button settings. It is forbidden to map buttons in any way other than the in-game options allow, including setting macros to facilitate gameplay. Do not use any additional software to facilitate the game or use the turbo button.
